Wow! I feel like it’s been a hot second since I’ve written an outfit blog post! Today’s outfit will have been worth the wait though because I’m talking about one dress you need in your closet for Fall/Winter! If the punny title didn’t give it away, it’s tweed!
I thrifted this tweed mini dress at Goodwill for $7, and it’s darling! I got the inspiration for this dress through one of my favorite bloggers, Andrea from A Slice O Pi. She posted a similar dress on her stories, and it inspired me when I happened upon this adorable dress. I’m often really inspired by street wear, runway trends, designers, and current trends, so I’m always on the lookout for similar items at the thrift store! This dress is originally from Forever 21, but it was new with tags, and I loved the navy color with flecks of silver. Even though this dress is modern, I love the classic 60s mini dress fit, and that it looks vintage!
Tweed has been popular for so long, and it can easily look pretty Emily Gilmore, so I love that this dress modernizes the tweed! In the winter, I’ll be adding navy tights and some booties to this. It would also be so cute with some kick flair cropped pants and a tight cream sweater underneath. OR… you could totally dress it down with a band tee underneath, navy tights, and white doc martens!
