Another camping trip so soon?? I know guys, I’m basically turning into a wilderness woman. LOL not quite… but one thing I could definitely get used to is GLAMPING! The fun of the outdoors, with the comfort of a heated camper? I’m all about it! Here’s a fun backstory about me – my family owned an RV when I was growing up which they recently sold. We put hundreds of miles on it through family vacations across the country, football tailgates, and nights at campgrounds. After years of RV living, I find so much comfort in staying in campers and love the nostalgia it brings along with it!
I recently partnered up with some of my favorite ladies (Meaghan, Caroline, and Sarah) and The Green Canteen Company for the ultimate glamping experience in the world’s most adorable Shasta camper – Daisy Lou! Our experience staying in this 1960s replica Shasta camper was nothing short of amazing! We had the best time enjoying the outdoors while also being cozy at night in our vintage inspired home. I wanted to share all of our experiences with The Green Canteen Company, and what made our stay so special!
When we arrived to Montgomery Bell State Park, just 30 minutes outside of Nashville, our Shasta was waiting and ready to go! Green Canteen could not have been more accommodating to us by setting everything up (they can set it up within 90 miles of Nashville!), including a campfire set up with chairs, string lights, and outdoor rug that made for the perfect photo ops! They took their time to show us how to use everything in the camper, and even gave us a bottle of wine and homemade snacks! Seriously, they gave us the 5-star treatment! The owners provided everything we needed for the ultimate girls night! The best part? To rent the camper that sleeps 4 is only $155/night, and includes all the set up and cleaning. They also have a camper that sleeps 2 if you wanted it for a weekend getaway or for an event! How cute would this camper be for photos at a wedding or party?!
After getting situated in our new little home, we promptly popped the wine, and enjoyed some pizza we brought with us. We wanted to keep it pretty low maintenance while glamping, so we opted to bring pizza with us, but the camper does have a microwave and stovetop if you wanted to make your own meal. Green Canteen also offers prepared food options that can be waiting for you upon your arrival. From dinner to grab and go items for a hiking trip – they’ve got you covered with delicious food made from a chef straight to your camper! We enjoyed our pizza and wine by candlelight (you know I’m always there with the props!! haha) to make our dinner extra special and cozy 🙂
After changing into our jammies, we curled up by the fire with [more] wine, and talked together for hours. I love that sitting around a fire always promotes lively conversation without phones or other distractions. If you are looking for a way to disconnect and reconnect with friends or loved ones, this is the way to do it! I’m really wanting to rent the 2-person camper with Derek, and getaway for a night! This girls night was much needed and made me so thankful to have these amazing ladies in my life! We roasted marshmallows and made s’mores (thanks to Green Canteen for providing us with all the fixings!) and stuffed our faces with gooey, chocolatey goodness until the fire dimmed down, and it was time to move the party into the camper for a nightcap.
We folded down the table in the camper, and made our beds, continuing talking for a few more hours. Green Canteen provided us with all the sheets, pillows, and blankets we needed for a cozy fall night, and after chatting late into the night and major cuddle sessions, we cozied up for the night and went to sleep. In the morning, we woke up to light shining through Daisy Lou, and I immediately felt so refreshed and ready to shoot! We got ready for the day while sipping on some coffee Green Canteen provided for us, said good bye to our adorable little home, and hit the road. We stopped along the way to admire all the Fall foliage, and of course take lots of photos. We are all creatives (bloggers and photographers) so we love getting creative together, and shooting. Our short ride home was capped with munching on the snacks Green Canteen left for us, and exchanging all the fun photos we took, reflecting on the magical time we had with Green Canteen and Daisy Lou!
Thank you to The Green Canteen Company for being the hostess with the mostest! If you’re interested in a glamping GNO, a cozy night with your significant other, or renting Daisy Lou, or any of their other campers for an event, check out Green Canteen here! We had so much fun on our stay, and can’t speak highly enough of them!
Until the next adventure!
