Making a Statement: Vintage Earring Collection

Whoever said “a smile is a girl’s best accessory” obviously didn’t wear vintage earrings. In my wardrobe, a pair of vintage earrings are a girl’s best accessory! I have always long been a fan of vintage earrings because I think they add a super unique touch to complete an outfit, and can bring such an expected pop. Big statement earrings can be paired with a simple look to make it not so simple anymore, or go ahead and just go all out with pattern smashing and some big bold earrings!

Understandably, many people can find vintage earrings challenging to incorporate in their wardrobe because they can be so bold. My go-to is to wear my simpler vintage earrings during the day for more casual looks. I tend to lean towards what Carrie Bradshaw would call “ghetto gold” for my day time looks, and the flashier, statement earrings for things like a date or a night out. Try a pair out for a night, I promise you’ll fall in love…maybe more than you love your date!

After starting my collection from a vintage earring lot I purchased from an estate sale in middle school, I since haven’t bought many earrings from fast fashion retailers. Most of my vintage jewelry I thrift or buy at estate sales because that’s where the best deals usually are, but Everything But The House, Ebay, and Etsy are also great places to pick up vintage costume jewelry.  Many people have been asking me to share my vintage earring collection, so here it is, sparkles, gold, gaudy beads and all!
