I sometimes wonder if your fashion sense can have multiple personalities. If so I would definitely be diagnosed. I’ve never been able to pin myself to one “style”, and that’s one of the central reasons I thrift so much – the options are limitless. Thrifting has given me the opportunity to experiment with different styles at a low cost. It makes me feel empowered knowing that every morning I can be anyone I want be – fashionably speaking. As I said in my Thrift Store Basics post, I’ve been searching for more basic items when thrifting. Typically, I am attracted to vibrant vintage prints and cuts. As of lately though I’ve really be inspired by simplicity and comfort.
This Champions sweatshirt might officially be the comfiest item I own, and I’m proud to admit I’ve worn it almost every day since I bought it. I tuck most of my tops into my bottoms, so I gave the sweatshirt a quick trim to make it slightly cropped. This way I can wear it tucked or untucked with high-waisted bottoms. I’ve already worn it a bunch of different ways, and even though it’s starting to heat up here in Florida, this is an item I can see myself styling for a while. I love quirky items, but I’m realizing that even basic thrifted items are still one of a kind.
I know I’ve been buying a lot of denim jeans right now, but y’all, I just can’t seem to find what I want. Plus, you can never have too much denim. While on my quest for the perfect jeans, I ran into these super high-waisted vintage Wranglers. I’ve always wanted a pair, if only just to pretend I’m a real life cowgirl. I cut about 10 inches off the hems, and turned them into the perfect cropped jeans. I threw on an old pair of vegan leather and wood sandals to complete my simple and comfortable look.
