One of my goals that has followed me through into the New Year is skin care. I want to take better care of my skin, really know what I’m putting on my face, and to improve my overall complexion. Years of not washing my face consistently, wearing make up to sleep after long nights, and using chemical filled products contributed to the creation of this goal.

I’m happy to say that I’ve definitely improved on my bad habits, but still have a ways to go. To help, I decided that maybe settling on a really good routine and set of products would help in my quest for the skin I’ve always dreamed of. After receiving a Beauty Counter gift card for Christmas, I decided it was now or never! So, I used my gift card towards a larger order, and settled on the following products:

Purifying Charcoal Mask – THIS IS SORCERY. I’ve tried several different types of charcoal face masks, and this one is by far my favorite. As the face mask dries, you can see the mask pulling up excess oil from your face. To be honest, I’m not sure of what happens in that whole process, but the end results…flawless.

Hydrating Face Oil – I wasn’t sure about this because who wants their face to look oilier than it already is? But, I’ve really liked applying this after I wash my face at night, and mostly in the morning before I put on makeup. It doesn’t make my face look too oily, and makes for the perfect dewy, fresh look. Not to mention it makes my skin soft and smooth!

Nourishing Day Cream – I know this says day, but to be honest I kind of use it whenever. After I wash my face, before I put my make up on, after I take a shower… basically all the time. I never think it’s greasy like most of the other moisturizers I’ve used, and lasts the entire day.

Peppermint Lip Conditioner – I love that this is made from natural oils, butters and Peppermint oil. You do have to apply this product frequently, but it does make your lips super soft!

Nourishing Cream Exfoliator – This has the perfect amount of exfoliant in it. I never feel like it’s too abrasive, and my skin is always glowing and very soft afterwards! Using it about 3 times a week helps exfoliate just enough, without it ever drying out my face.

Nourishing Rosewater Mist – Spritz, Set, and Done! I spray this on at the end of my makeup routine to set everything, and go!

The best thing about these products is that they are free of harmful chemicals, and contain natural and organic ingredients as well as many essential oils. These products fit perfectly into my lifestyle as an Eco conscious vegan and thrifter. Most importantly, I feel good about what I’m putting on my skin!

*I am in no way sponsored by Beauty Counter. I just love their products, and philosophy!
