Thrifting has helped me develop a quirkier wardrobe, no doubt. However, I always head to the thrift store when I am in need of some basics. There’s regularly an abundance of basic T’s, turtle necks, and jeans. No matter what thrift store you’re going to, there’s a large chance that you’ll always be able to find most of these items. On my last trip I decided to test this and thrift only basics:

Plain White T – The plain white T is an essential to every wardrobe. It’s lovely for layered looks, to throw on in a rush, or just by itself. I always like to have one around in case I find myself wanting to try a diy project. I plan to get some good use out of this one before I give it a new diy’d life, though.

Vintage Jeans – As stated in a previous blog post, I’ve been on the search for the perfect pair of vintage Levi jeans. I’m really starting to lose hope y’all… BUT I always manage to find several pairs of vintage jeans that I love nonetheless. These Tommy jeans have a touch of americana with the flag pocket detail, and are the perfect not too baggy boyfriend jean.

Sneakers – Whether you’re looking for day to day (like these Adidas sneakers I picked up for $7!!), or more athletic sneakers at the thrift, you’ll always be able to find something. I love sporty looks right now, and these would be perfect with a t-shirt dress or jeans!

This month, I really want to focus getting my wardrobe down to more basics. I have allllll the crazy printed vintage, but need to incorporate more basic items to pair these pieces with. I’ll give y’all an update on how this all goes next month!
